Introduction

The following items have been deemed as the minimum required information for reporting a bug for GXtest.

Firstly, we will go through the list of items, thereafter, a brief explanation will be provided.

List of Items

  • Steps to Reproduce
  • Error Screenshot(s) as necessary
  • GeneXus Version
  • GXtest Version

GXtest Designer

  • All of the aforementioned 'List of Items'
  • Test case export with its corresponding KB file ('.gxt' or '.xpz')
    • Take the following points into consideration:
      • A KB exported in ".gxt" format neither contains sensitive information, nor does it contain code;
      • What is does contain is a list with the name of the variable objects, and attributes from the screen;
      • Were you to require further information concerning that regard, refer to the following wiki page GXtest and the GeneXus KB.
    • Lastly, the KB is not mandatory, however, it is desirable having it for promptly working upon the reproduction and resolution of a defect.


GXtest Manager

  • All of the aforementioned 'List of Items'
  • Log file
    • The location for those files can be customized from GXtest Manager itself, once logged into the system go to:
      • From the GXtest Manager menu, go to Configuration --> Options --> Logging;
      • Once in the Configuration page, make sure to set the field Logging Enabled to Yes;
      • Afterwards, set the path in the field named 'Log Path Folder';
      • Last, click on the Confirm button to save and apply your changes.

GXtest Executor

  • All of the aforementioned 'List of Items'
  • Log file


GXtest Daemon

  • All of the aforementioned 'List of Items'
  • Log file
