Basics to the installation

In order to install GXtest you need some previous knowledge, and in this article we are going to try to make it easy to you.

Framework .NET

We suggest to install the 3.5 version that you can find here. This component is required to run .NET applications like GXtest.

SQL Server

We suggest to install the Express version of the Microsoft data base engine if you still don't have one. In order to do it go here. When you install it please remember the name that you choose for your instance (by default is "SQLEXPRESS") because you will need it at the moment to install GXtest.

Internet Information Server

This is a Window's component useful to serve Web Applications like GXtest Manager, so you are going to need it.

To install it you should go to Add and Remove Programs in the Control Panel, and go to Window's Components, look for the option Internet Information Server to install it. Probably the Windows Installation CD will be required.
